FRIENDSHIP BRIDGE

PANAJACHEL, SOLOLA, GUATEMALA

Friendship Bridge is a non-profit that currently works with over 4,000 female artists and artisans in Guatemala to find opportunities to create a better future for themselves, their children, and their communities through microfinance and education. Our partnership with Friendship Bridge's Market Artisan Program allows us an opportunity to work with artisan partners in all regions of Guatemala.

Merkata currently works with two artisans through the Friendship Bridge network - Ruth & Yolanda, each of whom started and manages a co-operative within their local community. Merkata is carrying one unique custom pillow from each of the co-operatives. See below for more details about their process.
